REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL INQUIRY MINOR

A total of 18 credits are required, of which 6 are circumscribed and 12 are elective. Students already emphasizing an environmentally focused program must use courses outside their major to fulfill cluster requirements.

HOW THE MINOR WORKS IN 4 EASY STEPS:

1. Take a 3 credit introductory course.
ENV_I 200, an introductory course about the many disciplines and approaches from which people examine the environment, or a substitute from the course list.   (View courses)

2. Take nine credits from one of the following five clusters:
A. Living on Earth: Biodiversity and Ecosystems
B. Justice and the Environment: Environment and Society
C. Sustainable Development: Environmental Explorations
D. Environmental Literacy: Ideas About the Environment
E. Wet and Wild: Water Resources

3. Take an additional 3 credit course
To provide greater breadth to the curriculum, select one environmentally related course outside the college and disciplinary group of the student's major.   (View additional courses )

4. Take a 3 credit final course
Either ENV_I 400 or a substitute from the course list.   (View final courses )
